About Us
Narratives Not Numbers is my brainchild from my combined passion for medical anthropology and health policy. I deeply believe that our minds are moved by stories more than numbers. No matter how objective our approach is, the moment our minds try to understand the numerical data in front of us, we interpret it through our subjective perspectives. However, qualitative data and ethnographic research can become too complex for busy and information-bombarded policymakers to consider. Narratives Not Numbers aims to make ethnographic data accessible by highlighting the "so what?" in policy recommendations that I craft as a critical summary of existing medical anthropology research.
Our mission
Making ethnographic data accessible for busy policymakers through critical summaries and policy recommendations.
Our vision
We want to help build a world where stories become evidence, and evidence becomes policy!
